Jay-Z, Stevie Wonder, Kings Of Leon and the Flaming Lips are among the first batch of artists confirmed for the 2010 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, to be held June 10-13 in — as always — Manchester, Tennessee.
Jay-Z has already been announced as a headliner for the 2010 Coachella Festival, to be held April 16-18 in Indio, California.
Tickets for the festival go on sale today at Bonnaroo.com.
Last night Jay-Z was spotted heading into the IMAX theater in Lincoln Center (New York) to see the new movie Avatar. He also hit up Wyclef’s Hope Help & Relief Haiti - A night of Humanity event at Urban Zen.
Brit Awards 2010 Betting Odds are dominated by some of the biggest name sin the music industry, including American acts Lady Gaga and Jay Z who are expected to mop up the international prizes. JLS are expected to be amongst the winners from the British acts.

The 2010 NBA All-Star game is set to tip off this weekend in Dallas and if everything is truly bigger in the Lone Star state, NBA pro LeBron James is determined to make the annual “Two Kings Dinner” larger than life.
“The event is being kept under confidentiality agreements for now, but it’s said LeBron James will be hosting Jay-Z as his guest of honor for the event,” a local planning source told Examiner.com.
The event will kick off with a private dinner at Craft and end at the W Hotel’s famous celebrity hot spot, Ghost Bar- Famous for its see-through glass floors and posh dance lounge. Ghost Bar has been a celebrity favorite among personalities including Paris Hilton, Tommy Lee Jones and rapper T-Pain.
“It’s known there will be a VIP party on Friday night,” adds the source. “But this one on Saturday is said to be a special surprise and isn’t being publicized.”

RAP superstar Jay Z reckons frumpy singing sensation Susan Boyle has what it takes to be a FASHION ICON and launch her own brand.
When Susun Boyle first found fame a year ago on Britain’s Got Talent she was was dubbed the Hairy Angel with her grey curls and dowdy dresses.
But after her American success and makeovers king of cool Jay Z believes the 48-year-old Scottish spinster has enough global appeal to be a STYLE queen.
He said: “What Susan’s achieved is unbelievable. Everybody wants a piece of her and the market for her is huge. I could see her with her own clothing range. Sure, why not?
“She’ll appeal to women of a certain age. They’ll see an ordinary person who made the best of herself. It’ll give them hope.”

Some 65 musicians from Rutgers performed an adaptation of Jay-Z’s hit single “Run This Town” that was orchestrated to include the NFL and CBS theme songs.
“It was an honor to work with a talented performer and artist like Jay-Z,” says Melissa Healy, a flautist and doctoral student.
The orchestrated version of Jay-Z’s hit “Run This Town” runs just before the 6:28pm Super Bowl XLIV kick-off on CBS (Sunday Feb. 7th)

Rock am Ring takes place from June 2010, Friday 4th to Sunday 6th and showcases acts from the international live music scene at the Nurburgring in the Eifel mountains, Germany. The event will be also broadcast by MTV Germany.
Jay-Z is also confirmed for ”Rock Am Park” going down June 3th.

Jay-Z has filed a double lawsuit against a bank and investment firm, accusing the businesses of owing him $3.7 million (£2.3 million) over his New York hotel development.
The Big Pimpin’ hitmaker – real name Shawn Carter – was set to plough money into the J Hotel, a luxury development in the Big Apple.
His company bought a $66 million (£41.3 million) plot in New York City in 2007 and obtained a $52 million (£32.5 million) loan that was assigned to investment managers Highland Capital Management LP and serviced by NexBank SSB. The firm also obtained an extra $11.8 million (£7.4 million) loan for the venture.
But due to the ailing economy, partners failed to pull in investors and there was a shortfall in funds – so Jay-Z offered the land back to bosses at Highland rather than face foreclosure.
In papers filed in Manhattan federal court on Wednesday (03Feb10), the rapper alleges that executives at Highland were slow in accepting the offer, causing him to accrue interest and personal costs on the loans.
The documents also claim Highland chiefs improperly diverted funds that Jay-Z’s company had placed into a reserve to cover potential environmental problems.
The papers state, “This action arises out of the efforts by defendants to bleed additional funds from (the) plaintiff. Defendants embarked on a bad faith course of conduct.” Jay-Z is seeking $3.7 million in damages.

Rutgers Symphony Orchestra to appear with Jay-Z on CBS-TV Super Bowl XLIV pre-game show
New Brunswick, NJ – The Rutgers Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Kynan Johns will be throwin’ it down Jay-Z style Sunday evening as they appear with the legendary rapper in a Super Bowl XLIV music video. The 2-minute teaser is set to air just minutes before the 6:28 p.m. ET kickoff between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.
Appearing in a music video is “outside the mainstream of classical music,” admits Johns, director of orchestras at Mason Gross School of the Arts. “It doesn’t happen in our realm.” Johns says the arrangement of the song is a fusion of rap and rock injected with a substantive orchestral presence.
Johns says the video shoot, taking place this week in New York City, will help his classically trained students to see that “it takes a lot of time to get pop music to that level.”
The Rutgers Symphony Orchestra is scoring prime face time on what is largely considered the biggest TV event of the year. According to The Nielsen Company, last year’s Super Bowl attracted, on average, nearly 99 million viewers.
Even Mason Gross Dean George B. Stauffer, known as an expert in the early life and work of J.S. Bach, is impressed: “We’re extraordinarily proud to have our students rubbing elbows — and touching knuckles — with Jay-Z,” he says.
